Artist Reception & Exhibition Opening: Potluck Studio is pleased to present an exhibition of paintings by Baltimore artist Sam Lacombe.

For more than thirty years, Sam's work has explored the relationship between form, light, space, and design, with a particular focus on urban Americana and commercial neon signage. His paintings transform familiar streetscapes, signs, and overlooked corners of the city into studies of color, geometry, and atmosphere. Through careful observation, Sam finds beauty in weathered walls, rusted surfaces, peeling paint, and the changing effects of light. His work invites viewers to slow down and discover the poetry and quiet joy hidden within everyday places.

Born in Cincinnati and trained at Boston University, where he earned both a BFA and MFA in Painting, Sam has exhibited nationally and internationally and has lived in Baltimore since 2006.
